Flight to Hoonah

We got to go on a fun flight to a little native village called Hoonah. It's about a 20 minute flight from Juneau, so the perfect length with the boys. It's a beautiful place--lots of bear sightings around here. Too bad we only got to see proof that they were here on the runway. Bear scat.

Preston loves going flying with Greg. Especially when he gets to sit in the front seat. On this flight we sat in the back seat and as soon as Greg shut off the engine, Preston said loud and clear for all the passengers to hear, "Thank you Dad!"

Preston was so excited to wear his new Alaska shirt because his cousin Charlie has the same one.
Happy Sam.

Happy Birthday Greg!

Or as Preston says it, "Happy Boofday Geg!"

I made cinnamon rolls for my first time--and Greg was so nice to say that he likes them doughy.
Preston couldn't wait to open presents. He had two of them opened before we even got downstairs.
And of course the main event---Boofday CAKE!
Aren't these boys so cute?

Sam's day to shine

Sam started rolling over, and after trying unsuccessfully for 6 days to get it on video, I finally caught him! (Preston couldn't figure out why I didn't want a video of him rolling over.)
He's so proud of himself every time he does it. And he's got a proud big brother.

Mt. Roberts Hike

On Greg's day off this week we decided to go for a hike up Mt. Roberts which is in Downtown Juneau. Preston did great! He walked the whole way up and only had to be carried down because he wanted to keep going "up mountain." It was a great hike, and so beautiful! We are definitely being blessed with the good weather this year.

There are waterfalls like this one all over the mountains in Southeast Alaska. Never get tired of seeing waterfalls.
