Alan and Tiffany's Wedding

We were able to attend Alan and Tiffany's wedding at the Ogden Temple on Sept. 17. It was a great wedding!
Preston loves his Uncle Alan

George brought an extra hat for Dan

Aunt Tina and Preston

Cute Cousins: Ashton, Parker, Preston, Charlie, Sam
Can't believe he let Grandma pin the flower on, and then he left it there!

More Hiking

We had fun going hiking with Dan, Kim, Ashton and Charlie for Dan's birthday on the Indian Trail.

Good buds!

Snowbasin

Labor Day weekend Greg's parents took us up to Snowbasin to ride the Gondola and have lunch at the lodge. It was such a beautiful day!

Fun little hike at the top.

The Grand Road Trip

There aren't very many kids who can tell their friends that they DROVE all the way from Alaska. Preston and Sam will be able to say that they did it! And I can't believe they did as well as they did. We've got great boys. Such good sports.

The first day, we took the ferry from Juneau to Skagway, a 6 1/2 hour boat ride that would've been beautiful if we'd have been able to see it (it was pretty rainy--just a typical Southeast Alaska day). We did get to see some humpback whales though!

Day 2 we left Skagway, and this was my favorite part of the whole trip. This pass was just spectacular.

We stopped for lunch in Carcross, Yukon Territory. What a neat little town.
Just a (beautiful) stop along the way.

Watson Lake--famous for the Sign Post Forest, and that's about it.
Muncho Lake was our destination (9 1/2 hours out of Skagway). We stayed in a little cabin just a few yards off the lake. Had to get a picture of the float plane.
Day 3 we saw lots of caribou and bighorn sheep, and some beautiful country. But at this point we were not stopping to take any more pictures. Home could not come quickly enough. We stayed in Grand Prairie, and it was a prairie (about 8 hours driving this day).

Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures on Day 4--We drove through Banff and Jasper National Parks, but like I said, we were NOT stopping until we got to Canmore (about 7 1/2 hours driving that day).

Day 5 we were absolutely crazy! We stopped in Cardston, Alberta for lunch and saw the temple, and then drove the rest of the way home, arriving in North Ogden at 2 am (17 hours after we left Canmore). Our boys were AMAZING!!! I think Preston handled the trip better than I did.

Last day in Juneau

Downtown Juneau. We're gonna miss this beautiful place.

Alaska--the land of the GRIZZLY BEAR!!!
