A Red Bike

All Preston wanted for his birthday was a red bike. It's nice when they're so easy to please--all the little 3-year old bikes are red. Perfect.
His second request was a turtle cake. I think it turned out alright.
We love Aunt Tina!
Not so much spitting this year blowing out candles

Sam the Man!

This little man finally started walking at 15 months--and he was so ready. First night he took a few steps. The next night he walked through the whole house without falling. And he had his mouth open and a big grin the whole time.

First party of the New Year is Sam's Birthday for us!!!

Sam's birthday is January 14 and he hit the big 1. However, we hardly celebrated at all on his actual birthday. Greg has decided to go work for Air Excursions up in Alaska until the middle of March, and they asked him to be up on the 12th. I will stay and continue to work full-time doing home care, and hopefully Greg will have some flying to do down here in March. So we had 3 birthday parties for Sam before Greg left. Saturday with Grandma and Papi (Vause), Sunday with the Gerritsen clan, and Monday at our home. Sam's favorite part I think, was eating all the cake and ice cream (or at least the M&Ms off the cake).

The birthday boy himself.
My first ever dinosaur cake! I thought he was so cute I didn't want to serve him. Like I said, Sam's favorite part was eating the eyes and toenails.

We miss this guy! Preston and Sam especially miss their fun daddy.
This was the snake cake Grandma Sharon made for Sam. It was delicious! I have to say that I love birthday cake so I had an excellent weekend.

Christmas 2009

I am very proud of this shot because Preston is actually looking at the camera AND smiling! I know you've seen this shirt a few times and that is because I let Preston choose his own shirt, and when this one is clean, it is very often picked.
This cute little guy likes to smile for the camera!
Christmas morning

We had the Gerritsen Christmas party at our house. Preston wanted to sit and eat his dinner by Grandma Becky.
Had to throw that one in.

Still Catchin' Up

In December we took a road trip to L.A. for my NAET class. We stopped halfway in St. George to visit Steph, Clay and Parker. Sam and Parker became good floor buddies.

While we were in Cali we hit the Rainforest Cafe with Greg's sister Jen and her daughter Lyndee. Jen attended the class with me and Lyndee was Greg's helper with the boys.

Way behind

So yes it is January and these are Halloween pictures. But I have a linear mind--things must be in order. So after these I will start doing some of the Christmas and January photos. Shameful thing is that I haven't really taken many since Halloween.

Cute little Sam was a cute little turtle.
Preston refuses to look at the camera and he really only wore his costume for a few minutes, so this is the best shot I got of the boy riding the horse.

We went to Provo for a weekend to see Paul and Jessica and go to a BYU football game. We had a good time, except not at the football game. Reminder: do NOT allow anyone to talk you into taking 2 kids to a cold football game that starts within an hour of bedtime. What was I thinking???

Biking up Provo canyon was fun!!

Halloween 5K/10K

There's going to be a very fun race on Halloween at 10 am. It starts at the gravel pits in North Ogden and follows the trail over to Nordic Valley. For anyone that's interested, go to the website and register early.
